Entries for items are generated automatically based on defaults that can be overridden as desired.

Clear start and end date information ensures rental properties are not rented out more than once at the same time. The system will automatically end the last open transaction when a new, more current starting date is entered.

Rental transactions are charged to a specific project and customer for the current period. These entries flow into the Project and Flexible Billings modules and behave like normal charge entries for purposes of reporting, applying taxes, and other project and billing operations.
